Phyllis Harbinger      Design Concepts/Interiors, LLC

Phyllis Harbinger, ASID, CID has been running Design Concepts/Interiors, her own
design firm, since 1993, servicing both commercial and residential clients in the New
York Metropolitan area.  She and her creative team of experts are as comfortable working
on a luxury suburban residence as they are in a sleek, modern city apartment dwelling.  In
fact, the variety of locales and client's styles is exciting and fuels her creativity.

One of the main goals of her practice is to involve the client in the creative process.  It is
important that a space reflects the personality, needs and desires of its inhabitants, not
merely the tastes of the designer.
Currently, Ms. Harbinger is working on multiple residences in the tri-state area including a
Sutton Place apartment with views of the United Nations and the East River Bridges.

Phyllis is an Adjunct Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology.  It is very important
to Ms. Harbinger to give back to the students what she received during her own academic
experience at her Alma Mater.  This combination of design education and private practice
allows Ms. Harbinger to enhance her skills and stay extremely current on design trends,
codes and technology, while also creating a unique opportunity to share her valuable
knowledge with her clients.  Ms. Harbinger is also a Certified Feng Shui Practitioner,
allowing her to integrate Eastern methods and theories of design and balance into her
current practice.   She is NCIDQ certified and a professional member of the American
Society of Interior Designers, in addition to being a NYS Certified Interior Designer.

Phyllis enjoys giving back to the community and has participated in a makeover room for
a teenager in remission from Cancer who was unable to leave home to attend college.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Westchester County sponsored the project.  She was
also one of the designers who participated in the ASIDNYMetro/Scarsdale Woman’s
Club Designer Show house in May 2005.  She also appeared on HGTV's Designers
Challenge with the winning design in 2009 and as a guest judge on HGTV's Battle on the
Block in 2010.

Employing the latest in technology and trends, Phyllis is an expert at creating livable
luxurious spaces for her clients.   The result of this balanced approach is an enlightened
design that caters to the clients every need and desire, making coming home an event to
savor.
